| All I want for Christmas is for Katie to be healed and to come back home from the Hospital. Below is a picture tribute and a song and scripture I am dedicating to her...

I had the privilege to visit Katie in the Hospital yesterday. Her joy and steadfast peace so provoked me! I wept as she sat there joyfully recounting God's goodness and faithfulness. She asked if we could sing "God Moves", and as we sat there singing, it was her voice you could hear; mine kept faltering due to the tears which kept coming to me as I watched her joyfully singing songs of trust to her Savior. This song I dedicate to her, for she has truly followed and lived out it's story...
God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform He plants His footsteps in the sea, and rides upon the storm Deep in His dark and hidden mines, with never failing skill He fashions all His bright designs and works His Sovereign will
So God we trust in You Oh, God we trust in You
Oh, fearful saints new courage take, the clouds that you now dread Are big with mercy and will break in blessings on your head Judge not the Lord by feeble sense, but trust Him for His grace Behind a frowning providence He hides a smiling face
God's purposes will ripen fast, unfolding every hour The bud may have a bitter taste, but sweet will be the flower Blind unbelief is sure to err, and scan His work in vain God is His own interpreter and He will make it plain
So God we trust in You
Oh, God we trust in You
When tears are great and comforts few
We hope in mercies ever new
We trust in You
Dearest Katie we are praying for you! My greatest comfort is knowing that, "The glory of the gospel is this: The one from Whom we needed to be saved is the One Who has saved us." We can take joy and comfort in the Gospel, in knowing that our greatest need has already been met! That quote reminds me of Romans 8:31-32 where Paul is testifying of God's everlasting love: "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but graciously gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?" I am asking God to help me remember and meditate on that as we are approaching the Throne of Grace for Katie's health! | | |

| Freedom
"O Holy Father, thou hast freely given thy Son, O Divine Son, thou hast freely paid my debt, O Eternal Spirit, thou has freely bid me come, O Triune God, thou dost freely grace me with salvation.
Prayers and tears could not suffice to pardon my sins, nor anything less than atoning blood, but my believing is my receiving, for a thankful acceptance is no paying of the debt. What didst thou see in me? That I a poor, diseased, despised sinner should be clothed in thy bright glory? That a creeping worm should be advanced to this high state? That one lately groaning, weeping, dying, should be as full of joy as my heart can hold? That being of dust and darkness should be taken like Mordecai from captivity, and set next to the king? Should be lifted like Daniel from a den and be made ruler of princes and provinces? Who can fathom immeasurable love? As far as the rational soul exceeds the senses, so does the spirit exceed the rational in its knowledge of thee. Thou hast given me understanding to compass the earth, measure the sun, moon, stars, universe, but above all to know thee, the only true God. I marvel that the finite can know the Infinite, here a little, afterwards in full-orbed truth; now I know but a small portion of what I shall know, here in part, there in pefection, here a glimpse, there a glory. To enjoy thee is life eternal, and to enjoy is to know. Keep me in the freedom of experiencing thy salvation continually."
These lines are echoing in my mind:
"Who can fathom immeasurable love?" "To enjoy thee is life eternal, and to enjoy is to know."
Oh God, how immeasurably good and unfathomable You are!!
